Snapchat Filters give me life😍

Let me just say that I love my Snapchat filters. I can be on Snapchat forever or until my battery runs down. All that time spent is me saving picture after picture utilizing the filters. Snapchat filters give me life and I have a blast. My daughter and I create snap stories around our mommy and me moments. Who honestly doesn’t like Snapchat? I’d been using my Snapchat photos for my Facebook profile pic’s, long before it became popular to do so. It’s funny how you can watch things change over time. 

I really want Snapchat to create a series of hair filters. Yes, I mean what I said. Although it might sound crazy. So awhile back they did a Devil wears Prada filter that I absolutely love, and right now we this filter which looks like a Japanese anime hair filter. Check out the pic and let me know your thoughts. I don’t know about you guys, but I love the hair filters. Who am I kidding, I love all the filters. I take a few selfies and alter and add my own flare to it. Like this pic below.I absolutely love my Snapchat filters. So does my mini me.What can I say, other than my Snapchat filters give me life. Always Be Prepared.

Hey everyone, thanks for hanging out with me. Okay, let me tell you what happened to me yesterday. I had to go into work early and I knew that I needed to stop for gas. I made sure that I had more than enough time to stop so I could fill up. By the way if I had gotten gas earlier that day I might not of had this encounter.  Well it’s about 6:10 p.m., and I double check to make sure I have everything I need for work, I put all my stuff in the car and kiss Jiya goodbye before leaving. I get in the car and back out of the garage, I plug my phone in so I can listen to some of the music I recorded two weeks ago. ​

​When I get gas, I usually get it from the Quick trip or at the Kroger’s Gas station. Well yesterday I stopped at Krogers for gas because that’s in my direction to head to work. As I pull into the shopping center parking lot, I didn’t turn down the parking aisle I usually would, so when I pull up to the gas pump it’s automatically on my left hand side. I seemed to have missed my turn, so I turn down the next aisle. Needless to say I had to now use the pump on the other side of the pump, I’d normally use. As I was pulling up I seen some people standing around by the gas pump across from me on my right hand side. 

As soon as I get out of the car, the gentlemen spoke to me. He say’s how are you doing, can I show you something? Or something similar to that. I already knew that they we’re selling something. So I immediately told him no thank you. He said something again, and I said no thank you. They were selling this spray you can use on your car and in your bathroom at home. I thought it was funny because as I said no thank you for the second time, he asked if I was a New Yorker, lol. I laughed and said yes. I find it funny he hit the nail right on the head. He was very funny and sweet, but I was very adamant that I was not buying anything. 

The longer we engaged in conversation, his other coworker came over and she noticed my business decal on my back car window. She goes on to ask me, what’s Pink Zebra? I replied and told her that it was Candles, Home Fragrance and Decor. So she goes hmmm, do you have a card? I say, I sure do. I go into my purse to look for a card and I keep digging and searching, until I realized that I didn’t have any of my business cards on me. Let me just say that – that was embarrassing. Simply because I was not prepared. Plus I just told her that I had a busines card. But now I had nothing tangible to hand her. Her coworker did take a screenshot of my decal since that had my contact info and website listed. I don’t know for sure if he’ll remember to send it to her or not. She might forget all about it. She could have been a potential customer and now that’s up in the air because I didn’t have anything to physically hand to her. I was so mad at myself for that careless mistake. I always walk with business cards in my purse, but I had realized that I wasn’t using the same purse a few weeks ago. You know, us women like to switch up our purses, but that’s no excuse. I should of made sure I had some in my purse, wallet and even my car. I totally dropped the ball on this one. 

Always be prepared no matter what. If you have your own business or going down a path to self discovery, whatever it may be, you should always be prepared. When I got home this morning the first thing I did was put my business cards into my purse and placed some in the car as well. The next time someone approaches me about my business, I’ll always be ready because I’m prepared.

Depression

Hey guys! What’s up? Thanks for hanging out with me today. So yesterday I took this online test to check to see if I was an introvert, and from doing that I noticed this long list of things you can test yourself for. It was called the illness quiz. Well one thing that stood out to me was the depression quiz where they asked you a series of questions. It was about 25 or 30 questions. I’ve known for a good while that I do struggle with depression from time to time. After taking the quiz I was ranked as having a mild case of depression, but it also suggested that I speak with a doctor to be fully evaluated and monitor my depression, so things don’t become worse. Depression ranges from mild, moderate, to severe. 

I will admit that I don’t always believe that I need to see a doctor or take medication for my drepression. Simply because I know that I don’t have it as bad as other people, who really need to take medication to keep it under control. I’m not that girl.  I do believe that I need to have someone to talk too, so I’m able to voice how I feel. Often times with dealing with my depression, I always feel like I have absolutely no one to talk too. Honestly when I feel like that, it just makes me feel like I have to keep everything bottled up inside. Then I find myself internalizing all that I’m going through while trying to work it all out in my head. 

Not only that, but I have a hard time voicing how I feel. Not always but sometimes depending on what it is. It’s sounds a little crazy I know. I realize that my depression comes and goes, sometimes it lasts for only a few days, and then I’m good all over again. I was thinking, when would be the best time to get checked out for my depression. When I’m actually depressed or when I’m not? I guess at any point in time really. If you or someone you know struggles with depression, seek help from a professional or reach out to a close family member or friend. I think it’s time I took my own advice.

It’s October!

Hello Fall! Although I’m a spring child and a summer lover. I do enjoy the Fall weather. I enjoy the comfortable temperatures. It’s not to hot or to cold. Right now here in Georgia it’s in the 70’s but later on the temp will drop down to the 60’s maybe high 50’s. In the mornings it’s usually pretty chilly but the weather warms right up. Well being that it’s October, I’m looking forward to some family fun. What about you? 

For starters we all know that Halloween is right around the corner. Or should I say that we have 29 days until Halloween. Which means the costume stores will be packed with parents and kids trying to find the perfect costume this year. Lots of young adults will be planning Halloween parties. I love checking out all the Halloween decorations and props. Some people really like to do it up big. As much as I would love to decorate my front yard, I just don’t have the yard space. That’s okay though, maybe one day I’ll get the chance to get the front yard all decked out. 

What I’m looking forward to are the Fall festivals   That start happening at this time of year . Lots of entertainment, shopping, games and activities for the kids makes it a fun day out with the family. Most of the elementary schools do fall festivals, which in a couple of weeks my daughters school will be having their fall festival. It’s usually on a Saturday and that gives you more incentive to get up and get out of the house, especially for us because we are only a few minutes away from her school. 

What I’m really excited about is going to check out Frieght Fest this year at Six Flags. I’m all for visiting the haunted houses just to get a good scare, but I’ve never been to Freight Fest and I’ve always wanted to go. So my family and I will definitely be planning a trip this October since we have season passes. Best believe I’m getting all my monies worth out of these passes. My daughter is also excited about going to Six Flags. I really want to take her to Netherworld, which is this haunted house attraction that comes every October, here in Georgia. It’s one of the top scariest haunted houses here in America. They do a fantastic job from start to finish. I don’t think my nine year old will be able to handle it. The last thing I’d want to happen is have her get to scared and we have to leave. So I’m thinking maybe when she’s 10 or 11, we can take her then. 

I love picking out our pumpkins and then carving them, just more family fun. Hopefully we will also get the chance to visit Corn Dawgs this October. It’s a great place to take the kids and hang out with the family. Lots of outdoor activities like zip lining, hay rides, moon bounce, face painting, horse shoes, slides etc…. but most of all they have a corn maze every year. One for the kids and one for adults, and at night they do a haunted corn maze, which is right up my alley.

When you realize that you should of stayed home.

Hey guys, thanks for hanging out with me. Have you ever been some place and you feel board out of your mind? Well that’s how I feel right now. So I’m at the annual Curry Q that my in-laws do for their non profit organization. Although I know most of the individuals who are here, I have absolutely nothing to converse about. Leave it to me to be the introvert of the party. 

For the time being I’m just going to sit back on the sofa and watch family fued. I was already indecisive about going to begin with. Now that I’m here, I realized that I should of stayed home. I could be in my sweats curled up on my own sofa as I binge watch the Fosters. Not to get sidetracked but the Fosters is a really great show, so check it out on Netflix when you get the chance. I know that I sound like a party pooper, but that’s the way it is sometimes. 

After watching Family Fued, my husband and I filled our bellies with some really good curry q. Shortly after that I was out like light off to la la land. So I pretty much slept the remainder of the evening during the Curry q. When my husband finally said those words, are you ready? I couldn’t wait to get into the car and get home. I truly don’t know where my Saturday went. It seems like I’ve slept it away. Well I might have slept it away wether or not I went to the Curry q anyway.  At the end of the day, I really wished I stayed home in my pjs and curled up on my sofa. 

You tell me, could I have tried harder? Was I really being a party pooper? Or Should I have just stayed home? What say you?
